CP-66
Central Processing Unit

  • Executes operating instructions stored in internal memory.
  • Controls intercom system traffic according to dial data received from stations.

 
OC-62
Output Control Unit

  • Temporarily stores output data from the CPU and distributes it to each unit.

 
HC-62/HC-64
Highway Control Units

  • Turn on and off the time sharing switches of the LM, DL, CL, PI, TI, SI and SG units.
  • Receive instructions from the CPU.
  • Front panel switches and LEDs allow monitoring of active system links.
  • HC-62 used for EX-610 and EX-620 systems.
  • HC-64 used for EX-630 systems.

 
CL-62A/DC-62A
Link Units

  • Operates under the control of the HC-62 or HC-64 Highway Control Unit.
  • Connects or disconnects individual links (speech paths) for conferences among four stations (CL-62A only) and conversation between two stations.
  • Switches conversations from hands-free to full duplex when station handset is lifted.
  • Equipped with one conference link and two duplex links (CL-62A), or four duplex links (DL-62A).

 
SG-62
Signal Generating and Distributing Unit

  • Generates and distributes the following system tones:
    • Calling
    • Privacy/disconnected
    • Busy
    • Dialing
    • Zone paging
    • All call
    • Priority/executive priority
    • Registration confirmation/ call holding/mic off
  • Distributes tone signals to system under control of the HC-62 or HC-64 Highway Control Unit.

 
PI-62
Paging Interface Unit

  • One PI-62 provides seven zones of paging plus all-call paging.
  • Each additional unit provides eight more paging zones.
  • Eight relays may be activated during paging or while depressing a station's push-to-talk key.
  • Transformer-isolated PA paging outputs.
  • System configuration determines the number of zones available.

 
TI-62
Tie Line Interface Unit

  • One TI-62 provides eight tie-lines.
  • Two twisted-pair wire connection for each tie-line.
  • Transmits and receives audio signals and dial data between adjacent CP-66 equipped exchanges.

 
SA-64
EX-630 Station Assignment Unit

  • Used in EX-630 systems to distribute the station paging outputs of the PI units to each LM unit.

 
LM-62C
Line Modem Unit

  • Contains one dedicated circuit for each of the eight two-wire stations it supports.
  • All station circuits have access to all available system links (speech paths).
  • Eight front panel LEDs monitor station-line loop current.

 
LM-65C
Enhanced Line Modem Unit

  • Contains all functions of the LM-62C with enhanced features:
    • Audio and control inputs for alarm and timer signals.
    • Eight BGM audio inputs.
    • Allows connected stations to receive BGM, alarm and timer signals.

 
SI-62
Speech Interface Unit

  • Connects to the SM-600 speech message unit to send or receive a voice signal.
