TOA Adds H-3 Wide-Dispersion Speaker To Interior
Design Lineup
To complement TOA’s successful
line of interior design speakers, the company is announcing the release of
the new H-3 wide-dispersion wall-mount speaker. The new speaker is ideal for
foreground/background music and paging systems and is noted for its sleek
and stylish design. The H-3 speaker can be used in a wide array of
wall-mount speaker systems, including houses of worship, hotels, museums,
offices, restaurants, retail stores and residential spaces. TOA is also
introducing the H-3WP, a weather-resistant version of the speaker which can
be used outdoors in garden, patio and swimming pool applications.
The H-3 speaker offers wide sound coverage; 140 degree horizontal
dispersion with a minimum reflection design that reduces sound wave
reflections that are typical with conventional bracket-mounted “box” type
speakers. The speaker’s two-way fire rated sealed enclosure has high quality
components including a one inch dome tweeter, dual four inch woofers with
neodymium magnets, and a built-in 70.7/100 V matching transformer (30 W

damage from excessive input and a built-in crossover with optimized filter
slopes.
A standard two-gang electrical box is used to install the new speaker and
an optional TOA 900 Series processor module is available for convenient
system equalization. The push-on grille has a paintable finish for custom
matching. TOA backs up the H-3 wide-dispersion speaker with a three year
warranty.
TOA Releases Two New Subwoofers
TOA Electronics, Inc. announces
the release of two new subwoofers for low frequency enhancement, the
flush-mount HB-1 and the surface-mount FB-100. The new subwoofers feature
port radiation and acoustic bandpass filter design for smooth low frequency
response. Both of the new arrivals are designed for use with TOA’s F or H
Series speaker systems and are ideal for commercial, residential and retail
sound systems.
The new HB-1 subwoofer can be flush-mounted into a wall or ceiling. The
minimum depth design of the subwoofer (3.5 inches) allows users to
discreetly install the subwoofer into limited spaces. The HB-1 installs
between studs spaced on 16” centers and has a paintable metal enclosure
which also acts as a heat-sink to dissipate excessive heat from the
loudspeaker component. The subwoofer features an 8” woofer with ferrite
magnet and 240 W continuous power handling. The grille on the new unit has a
paintable finish for custom matching.
The FB-100 surface-mount subwoofer can be floor, wall, corner or ceiling
mounted. It has a 10” woofer with ferrite magnet and extended voice coil and
450 W continuous power handling. The new FB-100 is easy to install and has a
paintable enclosure with six rigging points for suspended mounting.
Both models come with a removable terminal block with loop-through
terminations for convenient connection of parallel speakers. Options include
a 70 V transformer for distributed speaker systems and a TOA 900 Series low
pass filter module. TOA backs up the new HB-1 and FB-100 subwoofers with a
five year warranty.
